Revolution in Colour
Clean Colour Without Compromise
Our Story
SwitchDye began as a bold concept: replace disperse dyeing with a cleaner, scalable system that works on existing machines. While previous innovation had failed on cost or performance, the mission was clear, build a better system that works on the factory floor
SwitchDye reduces chemical use, recycles water and heat, and fits directly into current dyeing equipment. It delivers full performance with no compromise on colour.
This isn’t just a new dye, it’s a step toward transforming the entire textile industry.

Our Founding Team
SwitchDye was born from a conversation between Professors Richard Blackburn and Christopher Rayner, a vision for a drop-in technology that would solve growing issues in the textiles industry. That vision was brought to life through a decade of research and development by Nathaniel Crompton and Harrison Oates, who turned it into a working, scalable solution with the power to transform the industry.

Dr. Nathaniel
Crompton
Founder - CEO
“The textile industry has been crying out for a real solution, SwitchDye is that solution.”

Dr. Harrison
Oates
Founder - CTO
“If you were reinventing polyester dyeing from scratch today, you’d invent SwitchDye.”

Prof. Chris
Rayner
Founder
“Chemistry should be used to fix the textile industry, not just describe it.”

Prof. Richard
Blackburn
Founder
“We built SwitchDye to be usable, not theoretical. If it doesn’t work in a real mill, it doesn’t work.”

Dr. Phillip
Double
Chair
“I’ve spent my career bringing breakthrough technologies into cautious industries, SwitchDye is ready, and the market is too.”
